You now have four blue mana in your pool and three Diamonds in your deck as well as one in hand. You now have six blue mana in your pool and zero Diamonds in your deck. Step 5: Activate Intuition, respond by sacrificing Diamond for blue mana, get another Diamond. You now have five blue mana in your pool and one Diamond in your deck. Step 4: Activate Intuition, respond by sacrificing Diamond for blue mana, get Elixir of Immortality. You now have three blue mana in your pool and one Diamond in your deck. Step 3: Activate Intuition, respond by sacrificing Diamond for blue mana, get another Diamond. You now have one blue mana in your pool and two Diamonds in your deck. Step 2: Activate Intuition to get another Diamond.

(If you already hold a Diamond or control one in addition to the card in your hand, things become easier, easier on the blue mana in particular, but let's stick to the basic manual here.) Let's assume you have the 2/1 Construct plus the enchantment in play, a random artifact card in hand, and three blue mana available. What gets a little more complicated is when you add Artificer's Intuition to the mix. You crack the Diamond and can spend its mana on whatever you just discarded, almost as if you had a Black Lotus. The interaction between Construct and Lion's Eye Diamond isn't hard to understand. Containment Construct effectively grants all your cards madness-as an option, which is important when you rather want to pay the flashback than the mana cost of, say, Echo of Eons.
